Slutty brownies are triple-layered bars made of chocolate chip cookie dough, Oreo cookies and brownie dough layered on top of each other! Sounds like a delicious threesome? Well, it sure is.
No time to waste, let's get to it 😉

SLUTTY BROWNIES
adapted from Alexandra @This Vibrant World
Preparation time: 60 mins
Main ingredients: spelt flour, sugar, dark chocolate
difficulty level: easy
makes: 16 brownie squares
suitable for: vegan, lactose-free, wheat-free, soy-free
Ingredients
Cookie Dough
2 1/2 (300g) cups spelt flour (type 1050) *

1 1/2 tsp baking powder
pinch of salt

2 tbsp (30g) applesauce
1/4 cup (60ml) plant-based milk (I like almond or oat)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup (75g) vegan dark chocolate chips (or chopped vegan dark chocolate)
Brownie Batter
1 1/2 cup (180g) spelt flour
1/2 cup (100g) raw cane sugar or brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 cup (30g) cocoa powder
1/2 tsp sea salt
3/4 cup (180ml) plant-based milk (I like almond or oat)
1/4 cup (60ml) sunflower oil
2 tbsp applesauce
1/2 cup (75g) vegan dark chocolate
16 Oreos
(optional) more Oreos to sprinkle on top
* If you are confused about that flour type, check out this website which explains the difference between German flour types and US-American flour types.
Preheat the oven to 180 °C / 350 °F. Grease and line a 9-inch square brownie pan.
FOR THE COOKIE DOUGH:
In a mixing bowl, cream together the vegan butter with brown sugar and salt with a whisk until pale and fluffy. Then beat in the plant-based milk, applesauce and vanilla essence. Next, fold in the flour and baking powder until combined. Gently fold in the chocolate chips – I used my hands for this step. Fill the cookie dough mixture into the prepared pan and press it down with your fingers to fill the base in an even layer of dough.
Set aside.
FOR THE BROWNIE BATTER:
In the same mixing bowl from before, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, cocoa powder and sugar. Stir in the plant-based milk, applesauce and sunflower oil. Lastly, melt the chocolate in a water bath (using the double boiler method) or in the microwave. Pour the melted chocolate into the mixture. Fold everything together until well combined and smooth.
This batter will be noticeably less thick and more pourable than the cookies dough.
TO ASSEMBLE:
Top the cookie dough layer with the Oreos, in a single layer. I used 16 cookies in a 4x4 pattern.
Pour the brownie batter over the Oreos, making sure the batter gets into the crevices between the Oreos. Flatten out the top with a spatula. I also topped the brownie layer with a few crumbled up Oreos.
Bake the slutty brownies for 30–40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean (well, smeared with ooey gooey melted chocolate though 😉).
Allow the brownies to cool completely before slicing. I like mine to look a little messy – since it fits the whole "slutty" vibe – so I cut it while it is still a little warm!
