My raw vegan Ice Cream Galore 2015 of last month is officially over, and i'm back with a different sort of recipe post. Strawberries are pretty much out of season where i live, so you could call this recipe an "homage" to sweet summer strawberries.
So i picked up some fresh local strawberries and combined them with banana, oats and plant-based milk to achieve something more creamy, shortcake-like.

Ingredients
2 ripe bananas
around 1 1/2 to 2 cups fresh strawberries
around 1/2 cup oats (gluten-free if gluten is an issue)
plant milk or water, as needed (almond milk would be perfect though!)
Instructions
Blend the fruit with the liquid, then add the oats, blend again.
Fill into a huge mug or jar! Perfect to take to work or university/school with you.
I garnished mine with some shredded coconut and a handful of cashews.
