Have you ever eaten grape ice cream?!
Me neither, so i gave it a go, and i'm in love with it! For the shared breakfast with my boyfriend i whipped up a bowl of mint & grape ice cream, which we shared and both came to the conclusion that we should make purple grape ice cream more often, haha! It's seriously so good.
And the mint flavour somehow matches the flavour of the gapes... perfect summer food to share with your love! (or eat by yourself, of course)
Ingredients
Grape Ice Cream:
3 ripe bananas, frozen
about 1 cup of purple grapes, frozen
Mint Ice Cream:
2 ripe bananas, frozen
8 fresh chopped mint leaves
also:
- a high-speed blender or food processor (NO NEED FOR AN ICE CREAM MAKER!)
Instructions
You know how it works: Prepare your mint ice cream as you would for a basic banana ice cream and blend. Scoop into a bowl and set aside in the freezer.
Do the same with your grape ice cream: Blend the frozen banana pieces in your food processor, then add the grapes until everything becomes a frothy, creamy mass. I
Using a spatula, spoon or in my case an ice cream scoop, fill everything into the prepared bowl and indulge! I love how sweet but subtle the grape flavour comes through! I wonder, does it also work with green grapes? Or is the taste too faint...?
