I'm having PMS right now (yep), so i'm moody and aching and want to curl up into a ball of sorrow and self-pity. Instead i'm treating myself to - guess what - some nicecream! This time it's dark chocolate (to satisfy my PMS cravings) with orange juice, orange zest and loads of cacao nibs.
Ingredients
3 large ripe bananas
around 1-2 tbsp cacao powder
juice of 1/2 orange
some orange zest
cacao nibs and orange zest groats to garnish
also:
- a high-speed blender or food processor (NO NEED FOR AN ICE CREAM MAKER!)
Instructions
First, squeeze your orange.
Break
your pre-skinned, frozen bananas into pieces and add to your
food processor.
Blend for a few seconds at a time, add the orange juice, then add the cacao powder.
Keep blending until creamy smooth.

Using
a spatula or spoon, scrape your Chocolate Orange ice cream into a big bowl and
sprinkle with cacao nibs and orange zest.
