reading time: ca. 1 min

Quick ice cream without ice cream maker

Preparation time: 5 mins + 3 hours freezing time
Main ingredients: banana, cacao, chili
difficulty level: easy
serves: 1
suitable for: vegan, lactose-free, gluten-free, raw food, and delicious "even so"

Hello dear,

yes it's March and i'm currently freezing, but i am so glad that i made this for breakfast because the combination of chocolate and chili is just amazingly delicious.

Also, the warming spices help with getting your inner fire going (intentionally ambiguous ;), so there's really no reason not to enjoy this ice cream even though it's below zero outside.

Ingredients

3 large ripe bananas, frozen
3 tsp cacao powder
1 tsp cinnamon powder
1/2 tsp ginger powder
a generous pinch of chili flakes

more cinnamon and chili flakes
buckwheat groats
blackstrap molasses

also:
- a high-speed blender or food processor (NO NEED FOR AN ICE CREAM MAKER!)

Instructions

Blend frozen bananas in a high-speed blender or food processor until they reach a creamy consistency, add a splash of soymilk or water if necessary. Add the rest of the ingredients and blend blend blend.

Scoop the ice cream into bowl and add toppings. I drizzled mine with blackstrap molasses, but maple syrup, agave syrup or coconut blossom sugar are just as amazing. Cacao nibs or crushed roasted nuts would be great, too!

Now snuggle into a cozy sweater and enjoy the cool kiss of you chili chocolate ice cream :)
