Chai Tea is one of my favourite beverages of all time (i even made a recipe for Masala Chai!), and personally i have never seen Chai ice cream anywhere, so i thought i would come up with a recipe that is even dairy-free, raw and vegan! YAY!
*Note: if you don't have a Chai spice mix at hand, you can either make it yourself (see below) or cut open a teabag of Chai tea, and use the leaves and spices from that!

Ingredients
2 large ripe bananas, frozen
1 tbsp chai spice *
1 tsp agave syrup or preferred sweetener (optional)
also:
- a high-speed blender or food processor (NO NEED FOR AN ICE CREAM MAKER!)
Instructions
Place frozen banana pieces in your blending machine (high-speed blender, food processor or juicer), add your Chai spices *, then and your preferred sweetener (i used 1 tsp of agave syrup) and blend until creamy smooth. You could probably also toss in some carob or cacao powder for a more chocolate-y, Christmas-y taste. Maybe i'll try that next time :)
Using a spatula or spoon, scrape your spicy Chai ice cream into a dessert bowl, sprinkle some cinnamon on top and enjoy!
Note: This is part of my raw vegan Ice Cream Galore!
* you can easily make the spice mix yourself! just combine 2 tsp ground cinnamon + 2 tsp ground ginger + 2 tsp ground cardamom + 1 tsp ground cloves + 1 tsp ground coriander + ½ tsp ground white pepper in a little screw-top jar, and use it for your ice cream, homemade chai or chai latte!
